Calvin Harris Blasts Taylor Swift Over Songwriting Credit

Calvin Harris called out Taylor Swift on Wednesday after she came clean about secretly writing his summer hit “This is What You Came For.”

Swift’s reps confirmed earlier that day that she wrote the song under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.

“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym,” Harris tweeted. “Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

He continued: “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” he said, referring to Swift’s recent romance with Tom Hiddleston who she met at the Met Gala in May.

The DJ added that Swift sings “a little bit” on the track, and called her an “amazing lyric writer.”

Harris also referenced a feud Swift had with Katy Perry that inspired her song “Bad Blood.” “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it,” he wrote.
